WHAT SHOULD YOU KNOW ABOUT SUPERVET?

Supervet is one of Budapest's newest veterinary clinics, where we treat dogs, cats and exotic animals in an area of 800 square meters with the most modern instruments, a wide selection of medicines, lots of love and experienced veterinarians. Our opening hours are from noon to 1:30 a.m. every day, which is the same on weekends and holidays. In addition, we provide a NON-STOP veterinary service from 8 a.m. every Saturday morning to 8 a.m. Monday mornings.

It’s a daily problem that there are not always veterinary services in the countryside. If there is a problem and there is no car or driver available, or the animal cannot be transported/the owners don’t dare to transport it, a sickness, accident or sudden illness might cost the life of the animal, if it lives in a place where there is no veterinary service.

When creating Supervet Veterinary Clinic, we kept the animals' best interests in mind. We knew that if pets have problems in the evenings, on weekends or holidays in the countryside, it can cost the animal its life if there is no vet on call.

Rescue can often be a lifesaver for our pets. There are cases when every single minute counts. Our ambulance service will get your pet to Supervet as quickly as possible, with modern equipment (X-ray, ultrasound, endoscope, laboratory, etc.) and our vets can perform immediate surgery if necessary.

We want to save the lives of as many animals as possible, which is why we started Supervet Rescue for Animals. Operating as part of the Supervet veterinary practice, the ambulance service is available to owners and charities countrywide. Our ambulance service can be dispatched to any part of the country and bring the animal in need of treatment to Supervet Veterinary Clinic. On request, if our capacity allows us, a veterinarian can also travel with the ambulance to provide on-site emergency care. There are no restrictions regarding the breed of the animal, we undertake the transport of all animal species that can be supplied at Supervet.

We have had a lot of cases since Supervet opened in August 2022. However, we would like to highlight a few cases

Pest county, poisoning

We received a desperate phone call that a German Shepherd dog is unable to stand and is shaking. A vetenarian has been with the dog within an hour. We determined that it was seizing from some kind of poisoning. Fortunately, it left the hospital 2 days later, recovered, much to the delight of his owners.

Pest County, stomach upset

The emergency service was called to a large dog, according to the owner, it most likely had stomach upset. Due to the size of the dog, the owners could not arrange the transport. Our ambulance service arrived very quickly and brought the patient in, who underwent a successful operation.

Budapest, old lady's parrot

A nice old lady called our reception. Unfortunately she cannot manage to bring in her beloved parrot, who was very sick. Our colleagues brought the patient in and after 1.5 weeks in hospital she returned home recovered, much to the delight of her owner.

Komló, dog attack

We received a phone call from Komló on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, there was no emergency service nearby and the small dog was in a bad condition and could not stand up. The owners suspected a spinal injury, so they did not dare to move him. Our vet on duty waited until the ambulance returned to the hospital and started an immediate treatment. After a couple of weeks in hospital, he was recovering at home and will probably be able to walk again.

Csokonyavisonta, urethral obstruction

A German-speaking kind gentleman called me desperate to find somewhere to take his pet who was urinating blood. There is no emergency service nearby and they can't understand him, and the only language he speeks is German. Our colleagues went to the scene. It took 6 hours to get there and back, but it was worth it. It turned out to be very rare, cystine stones were blocking the urethra and the were found in large quantities in the bladder. The doggy underwent 2 surgeries and a long recovery in hospital. After the successful surgeries and aftercare, our rescue service transported the dog home, much to the delight of the owner.
